About the Author:
Born in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan, Kevin Klombies graduated from the University of Saskatchewan with a Bachelor of Commerce degree (Honours) in Finance/Economics. He went on to work as a broker at Wood Gundy Inc for 16 years. Fascinated by the markets and growing bored with sales, he began writing market reviews in 1988. In 1998, after the birth of his two children, the reviews grew into a newsletter that Kevin would go on to name the IMRA in 2000.
Kevin went on to consult and manage a hedgefund, but never lost interest in the IMRA. He is a prolific writer; rain or shine, if the Canadian or American market is open the next day, the IMRA is written.
Kevin lives a quiet life in Calgary, Alberta with his wife and dog. He enjoys drinking extra-strong coffee (affectionately dubbed “lava water” by his family), taking long mornings to read the newspaper, and playing the occasional game of beach volleyball.
